Your medical documents are processed entirely in memory. They are sent securely to the AI for analysis and are never stored on our servers or databases. Once the analysis is complete, the file is immediately discarded.

Data Sources

  • Lab Reports: We use the reference ranges printed directly on your uploaded report.
  • Medicines: We pull data from the FDA (openFDA) and the National Library of Medicine (RxNorm).
  • AI Explanations: Gemini AI is used strictly to rewrite complex medical jargon into simple, 8th-grade level English. It is instructed never to invent medical facts.

Limitations (Not a Doctor)

MediClear is an educational tool built for a hackathon. It is not a medical device and cannot diagnose conditions, prescribe treatments, or replace professional medical advice. AI systems can make mistakes. Always review your original reports and consult a qualified healthcare provider.
